Dean Shot & The Solid Senders

Dean Shot

Vocal and guitar stylist Dean Shot is and has been for many years one of the East Coast's Premiere authentic blues artists.  If you took Hubert Sumlin, Albert King, Chuck Berry, Link Wray, Louis Prima, Tiny Grimes, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Willie Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Eddie Cochran, B.B. King, Frank Sinatra, Freddie King, Earl Hooker, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Slim Gaillard and churned them up in a big bowl with some garlic and hot sauce....the result would be something like Dean Shot.  Dean often injects humor into his shows and is a fine entertainer as well as being a consummate guitarist and vocalist.   Dean is a crowd pleaser whenever and wherever he performs.   He has thrilled audiences overseas in Spain and France and played countless major blues festivals and venues across the USA.

Dean spent his formative years playing alongside blues legend Hubert Sumlin for six years.  Dean later went on to tour extensively as a member of The Gas House Gorillas.  After leaving the Gorillas, he toured heavily with Mikey Junior as a regular member of his band for 3 years.
Dean has also backed and played alongside a long list of blues & roots greats including: Ronnie Earl, Big Jay McNeely, Big Jack Johnson, David Maxwell, Greg Piccolo, Paul Oscher, Steve Guyger, JB Lawson, Doug James, Floyd Phillips, Lonnie Youngblood, Sax Gordon, Studebaker John, Eddie Shaw, Carl Weathersby, Mark Hummel, Bob Margolin, Cecil Brooks III, Christian McBride, John Primer, Pat Tandy and many more.
